My handles were designed by me and R&K Woodworking of Vergennes, Vermont. They are solid Cherry or Butternut, both grown and responsibility harvested here in Vermont. The Butternut vary in shades, and some are Wormy Butternut, displaying natural holes. Both are hardwoods, though the Cherry is harder and will vary from light to dark. Cherry has a bit more of a reddish hue and will darken over time. Instead of tags or labels in my bags, I brand each handle with my branding iron that displays my Green Mnt. Knitting Bags name.
