The Addison County Bag

Manhattan Commuter Bag. When on a ferry going over to Long Island for a wedding, I noticed a woman knitting.... of course I had to go over and see her work! We had a great time chatting about where we lived, our kids and of course, knitting. She loved my bag, but explained that she lives in Manhattan and commutes daily using public transportation. She described what she'd love to find in a knitting bag and I couldn't get it out of my head. It's by far my most time consuming bag, requiring more fabric than any other, but I'm very pleased! Sleek and efficient. The top can be tall, or folder over. Side slits allow for a nice opening and easy accessibility. Exterior pockets. One side is wide enough to hold a pattern and the other is divided into two, all fully lined. Magnetic closure, decorative vintage button. On average, bag measures 16.5" from side seam to side seam with a 4" base pleat. 13.5" tall with 7" fully lined pockets. Side split is 5" deep. Total length of shoulder straps is 30.5".
