Green Mountain Knitting Bags

January 28

Greetings! Another busy week with yet 2 more custom bags out... two more just about ready for the weekend too. We had a bit of rain, and a warm spell, though we have plenty of snow up here on the hill. I was surprised to see it just about gone in the village... but it was a mixed bag today of sun (though not much) wind, snow squalls and overall gray. Typical January! Paul called me over to the kitchen window this morning to see turkeys who spent some time at our feeders, always fun to see what passes by our way. Woody came out and turned two more noste', Cherry this time :) Always fun to see him too !
I didn't have much time to knit this week, but did have fun making up some row counters, not stitch markers... row counters. My beading skills leave much to be desired but I had fun going through all the little bowls and picking just what I wanted. I made 3 all together ... and you simply move from ring to ring to count the row you've just worked. I seem to have a lot of various 8 row cabled patterns I'm working on and these will come in handy, pretty too! The knitting I did do was during the playoff games and I worked primarily on a linen sweater I'd love to finish soon, a sweet little shawl and some mittens I'm designing myself. I've put aside 5 of the sweetest antique carved mother-of-pearl buttons for the sweater, and I'll be sure to have pictures when it's done. As for the mittens, I'm writing down everything I'm doing though I'm not sure anyone could every follow it! I think it's a language only I could understand.
That wraps it up... enjoy the bags tonight, as always I had a great time creating them :)
Oh... tomorrow is the usual Friday morning yoga, but this weekend she's having a workshop on 'Restoring Energy Balance' Should be great.....

Mind/Body/Heath... right? Right.....

Be good to yourselves (!) and knit on good women!

Martha.
