October 29

Greetings! The color is gone now and we'll begin a new month of gray days and long nights. Daylight savings this weekend but the extra hour of sleep will be a treat! I wish you all a safe and Happy Halloween & Samhain! Samhain, or "summer's end" is really one of my favorite times of year... though I like all seasons as they mark time, each one making me stop and reflect on what has past, and what's to come. I'll carve a pumpkin tomorrow and will get some candy for the 2 trick-or-treaters that we get each year! I actually saw them on the road this week and asked them what they wanted! Twix it is..... ;)

Not too much news... another good and busy week. I have three custom bags to work on this weekend, and some great new fabrics to offer tonight. I received some fun new yarn today from a gal who does her own amazing dyeing..... this colorway is called Cherry Coke and will eventually become a wrap that buttons in the front. You can see my driveway here... my husband called me to our upstairs front window and we chucked together watching the fog roll into the valley... quickly! That's it in the top center of the picture! I'm not sure where the sun was today (?) it was predicted to be out, but it was far from it! Most bag pictures tonight will be in front of an antique quilted spread... I think it'll show them off beautifully. I picked up a new batch of handles yesterday, lovely Yellow Birch this time... as always, locally grown and harvested. The range from light to dark is so pretty...... I love spreading them all out on my big red braided rug in my kitchen and matching them into pairs. I match them for color and grain, and always love doing it.

Stay warm good women and knit on! Till next week, good knitting~

Martha.
