October 15

Greetings! It's been a wild and crazy week! The cart issues are finally fixed! Come to find out it wasn't specifically my cart, but the paypal server that became overloaded. Thanks to Allison's technical whiz-abilities, we're all set! It was fun to speak with those of you I had to call. I had to laugh when someone said... Oh, you ARE a real person!" Of course you all heard me in a frantic somewhat panicked state... but it was nice none the less. So thanks for your patience... it certainly made the last few weeks hectic and well... stressful by adding more work to my usual weekly amount, as I honored all sales, and continued with a custom order. That said, I'm just one bag shy of my weekly minimum, and also look for two Lil' Yarn Sacks and a fun little hybrid. Okay, enough about the cart.... let's move along and put it behind us!
The blanket is complete!!! And I'm delighted, what a fun project! I did a partial block before starting on the boarder, then a full block afterwards. It's soft and warm and full of color. Finished measurements are 35" x 42". Quite a few of you emailed with questions about it, so good luck (and have fun) to all of you who are starting one.
Paul and I went apple picking for the second time. It was beautiful, and the apples... gorgeous! We had our freshly pressed cider and stocked up on sharp cheddar cheese. I also had without a doubt the best doughnut ..... ever. Talk about fresh!
Now we're into the colder air and look what we woke up to already! It was gone by mid morning, but egads (!) I don't even have my pumpkins yet!
Next up is Paul's hat... finishing up my cabled mittens, starting some fingerless mitts for Taylor and wrist warmers for his sweetie.

Till next time... stay warm & knit on good women!
Martha.
