March 26
Greetings! The dark moon today, a good time to let things go, and as the moon begins to once again wax...I'll start some pansy seeds! We had a lovely week of sun (except for today) but it was COLD! I mean 10 degrees in the morning and only warming up to the mid 20's during the day. But it was lovely and much warmer yesterday, and so far it's been a great sugaring season...our neighbor has been boiling almost every night. As of yesterday, the Canada Geese are back in the pond, and the pussy willows continue to expand. Birds are busy and we continue on with mud season. The pictures of the road are taken just a few feet from the base of my driveway...lovely.
The pretty green lace tank dress I started is a really fun knit, not that I've had that much time to work on it....but I'm knitting the front and back together on circulars so it's slow going, but fun. Glad I started it when I did!
Like I mentioned last week, when the style allows, I'll be changing the way I do the pockets to include a perfect size pattern pocket when I can. If the bag is wide enough the pattern pocket will be centered with two smaller packets on either side. If it isn't wide enough for two pockets in addition to the pattern pocket, it will have an un-centered pattern pocket with one additional pocket. And the other styles will stay the same. So....I'll type it up to read 'pattern pocket plus one' OR 'pattern pocket plus two'.
I'm running behind...and Paul just brought home a Flatbread that I had to stop and have a piece of!
I hope all of you are well. Till next time... let's knit on good women...into Spring!
Martha.
