November 14

Greetings! Cold and rainy today (I knew it would be) so I took my moon walk last night and though it was cold, it was gorgeous! Paul spent the week recovering from his knee surgery, dutifully doing his knee exercises, and is progressing nicely. We got out the cribbage board and, as always, had good close matches...(ok, so he's ahead...)
I finished up my February Lady Sweater! I LOVE it! Such a fun pattern, and I especially love how thick and cozy this one is. I popped into Northeast Fiber Arts (yes, to show off my sweater) and the Kathryn Alexander class was going on. Everyone was busy knitting their 'doo-dads'..it looked like a blast! While there I picked up a skein of Noro Kochoran to knit a pair of felted mittens. Great yarn! Great pattern and such a quick knit! I bought the yarn on Friday and was felting Sunday. These would make great holiday gifts....one skein! The pattern is called Felted Kochuron Mittens, and is available through Northeast Fiber Arts. It's free with the yarn purchase, or $6.00 by itself.

Here are the Kochuron color options...I used color 66.

I knit the small size and added just a couple of rows for the cuff, and stretched it while drying. Love them...fuzzy and warm!

As of today I'm out of handles but Randy will have the new batch ready on Tuesday...so next week I'll be right back on track...

Ok, till next week...thanks for being here and knit on good women!

Martha.
