Greetings!

A busy week for us all. And it's still cold! Ug...warm weather will be such a treat. The cold has kept me from getting too many plants going...just a few hanging baskets so far. I'm excited for tonight's debut of the Lil' Yarn Sacks! Now that I have the big Madison Sweater Bag, I find some of my project yarn becomes a bit tangled inside. This doesn't happen with the one or two project bags, but it does in the larger. So...I came up with this adorable lil' sack that houses working balls/skeins. I make them out of only scrap fabric (makes it fun) so I can offer them at a great price. Mix & match! I don't like waste, and I do like organized yarn, so what a great solution! Unlike a nylon bag, these stand on their own as they're made from tapestry and upholstery fabric and have a generous pleated base. Read more about them on the Bags For Sale Page!
I had a blast at last week's yarn sale and purchased:
Addi Lace circulars size 6.

A shawl patter, A Berroco book and a fun garter stitch cardigan pattern.

2 skeins of Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette for the Paradoxical Mittens (charcoal and lime)
1 skein of Lang Mille Colori for a pair of wrist warmers
3 skeins of JitterBug for a shawl
5 skeins of Berroco Ultra Alpaca in green for a sweater
2 skeins of Cascade 220 for Herringbone Mittens (purple and lime)
3 skeins Berroco Pure Merino for yet another pair of Herringbone mittens (love that pattern) cranberry & pale pink
AND 12 skeins of Reynolds Ole’-Ole’ (cotton-acrylic) in a pretty green for the garter stitch cardigan…at $2.00 a skein!

You'll see the shawl in progress out of the Jitterbug...love it! That's the project I'm using the Addi Lace needles for...not sure if you can see it, but on the needle is an antique row counter that belonged my grandmother...it even has a measuring tape that pulls out! One of my treasures.

I'm crazy about the Addi Lace needles and haven't been able to find them until now. If you've been looking, here's a great site that has the larger sizes too!

Once again I have lots to type so,

Till next time, be well...and knit on good women!

Martha.
