June 19...just barely

Greetings all!
Midsummer..... Summer Solstice, held on the longest day of the year, the Solstice is the celebration of light's triumph over darkness and that of the bountiful beauty that light brings into our lives. It a celebration with much joy, and much feasting. Time for bright colors and flowers. Midsummer is a classic time for magick of all kinds, not to mention glorious full moon walks! I hope the skies clear so I can bathe in it tonight....
Allison has a well deserved Thursday evening off tonight, and is off to Clearwater. Have a great time Al! Next week we'll be back at our regularly scheduled time. Considering I lost a days work, and I had a surprise visit from my mom & older son today, I was able to complete some bags I'm very fond of...a couple of Lil' Yarn sacks too. Thanks for all the great reviews....how did we ever live without them?!
We're back to chilly days and evening and once again have the winter comforter on the bed. Hopefully we'll find a happy medium soon between hazy hot & humid and 65 degrees....after all, the river awaits!
Usually I don't leave the house on Thursdays, but have the chance today to head on down to our local farmer's market which is every Thursday throughout the summer. I look forward to it....then back home to work on custom bags.
It's 12:30 am....I'm beat....have to get up early so to bed I go.

This week I hope to finish up my garter stitch shawl...stay tuned for pictures!

Till next time....stay cool & dry...and knit on good women!

Martha.
