July 31
Ahhhh, does July have to end? Yes &...Lammas, the festival of the First Fruits of the Harvest, is the first festival of the waning year. The really good sweet local corn has arrived, how nice to celebrate with that! Now the days are hotter than they were in early summer....rainy for us here in Vermont! I'm not ready to think of Fall...so I'll focus on Mother Earth and give thanks for the bounty. I've finished up my February Lady Sweater and love it! All info is at Ravelry. I had a blast at the gem show, no surprise there! Bumped into Kerri Hale...the talented jeweler. Find her work on my Links Page. My 81 year old mom came out for a visit, and I photographed her holding some of the bags...see them on the Create Your Bag Page by clicking 'Additional Pictures' by each bag. I thought it would be good to see them to scale. Thanks mom! Can you tell she used to be a model??? Paul and I have been enjoying our evening bike rides to the upper beaver pond on the road. There are two of the most curious beavers I've ever seen...swimming almost right up to us! Busy as always, they're really fun to see. Enjoy the listings tonight...thanks all! And let's knit on good women! Martha. |
