February 20
Greetings! Well my driveway is now a glacier. The rain we had last week froze everything in sight. Even the snow now has a crunchy top...and it's freezing outside. But the sun has been bright the past few days and the days are getting longer. Northeast Fiber Arts is having a clean out yarn sale on Saturday...uh oh. She always has such gorgeous yarns and needs to make room for her spring & summer cottons that are coming in...and who can resist $3.00 skeins? Not me! It was a quick and busy week. I did find time for yoga here at home, really trying to be in touch with any aches and pains and am enjoying focusing on my breathing. As soon as my yoga instructor met me she said I had a lot of fire...that I was very much a 'fire person'. I always thought I was more water, but found this test and she was right. My sister and I had a blast with it. My husband thought he was equal parts earth & water and he was right. No wonder we balance each other out so well... Here's the test...have fun! http://www.lotusinstitute.com/5ElementsQuiz.html I didn't get the knitting in this week I had wanted, but always find time for some. Tonight's Vermont Proverb: Mud thrown is ground lost. Till next week...knit on good women! And a warm welcome to the new gals who have 'signed up' this week. Stay well, Martha.
