April 24
Greetings All!
Hope you all had a great week. Lovely here, a bit cooler today with more wind, but things are greening up nicely. The geese are doing their thing, and the peepers are good and loud in the evening. Ferns are starting to open and flowers to bloom....a wonderful time indeed! I hope those of you who received a sample of Mara's soap have enjoyed it. I'll continue to put it in the bags until I run out.
I had a blast on Sunday felting the flowers! What a neat process...the only felting I'd ever done was to knit something first then felt it. So, learning this whole new process was great. And didn't that 4.5 hours fly by! Click here to see our wok:

I'm also showing a full shot of an open bag that'll be available tonight. I wanted to show this picture to be sure all can see just how wonderfully big the base is, and I often talk about bags having a great 'sit'...so this is what I mean. And that's a skein of bulky weight in there!
I ripped out THE ENTIRE BACK OF A SWEATER, ok, so I left 2 inches.....but I found a mistake early on that set it wrong for all the cables to follow. This is what happens when I pick it up late a night when I'm tired and the lighting isn't great. So, I asked myself the old knitter's question, can you live with it? No, I couldn't. That's fine...all a part of the process.
Nesting has finally hit my pregnant friend ( I knit the booties for) so tomorrow I'm going over to help her reorganize and set up. Poor thing, now that it's hit her she's almost too big to do anything! Oh yes, I do remember....
Good to hear from many of you throughout the week, whether it's an email or in letter form. I'm blessed to have such a lovely group of customers....who, like me.....knit on!
Martha.
