April 17
Greetings All! It's warm! Wow, today and yesterday were gorgeous and today was in the 70's! Can you stand it? Still snow in the yard! Today was such a welcome relief...as even though it was sunny yesterday, the breeze was still cool. So all hand sewing was done on the deck! The geese are loud and we love it. I know it's really here though when I first hear the peepers in the evening.
I'm feeling much better and am back at yoga, I love it and missed it last week. Our road had yet another grading today so most of the moguls are gone.
Mara (banjo instructor, artist, maker of fabulous soap) has sent me a bag of samples. I'll place one in each bag I sent out for the next month or so....do enjoy...really wonderful soap.
I picked up the rest of my new batch of handles and they are lovely. A third of them are Cherry and I'm glad to be able to offer them again.
I'll be finishing up a cabled pullover this week, just in time for the warm weather (?)...and look forward to starting a summer cotton top. I've got to get more in sync here with my timing! Though the nights will be cool for some time yet and hopefully the top will knit up quickly.
On Sunday I'll pop into Northeast Fiber Arts to make some felted flowers! She's invited a few of us as she has lots of supplies to use up and her window boxes are in need up sprucing up (so says some of the town ladies.....) How great is that, that a yarn shop has felted flowers in the window boxes...love it! And each of us will be able to take one home.
Ok...still lots to type. Think I need another cup of coffee...
'See' you next week...till then, breath in that Springtime air and knit on good women!
Martha.
