October 11
Greetings,
Finished up my pair of fingerless mitts, I'm very pleased with them The yarn, 'ARAUCANIA' from Chile, was a real treat to work with...and plenty left over for another pair. The fit is perfect and they're as cozy as could be. Next is a pair of full mittens called 'Paradoxical Mittens' and intriguing pattern for sure! I love them, and am using Frog Tree 100% alpaca...one size 1 needles. Egads...but they seem to be moving along quickly, sort of.
As some of you may know, I have a link on my Links Page to a woman who makes beautiful pin cushion...as a lover of them, I've found another talented woman who makes them out of wool. They are gorgeous, and I just purchased my first from her. Here's the one I purchased:

I'm already having a hard time keeping it to just one! Be sure to view her other items.

We've had some good, much needed rain this week, and more is forecasted for the weekend. Still pretty warm though, but that'll change soon enough!
Saturday I'm taking a class at my favorite yarn shop, Northeast Fiber Arts, on mitered knitting. I've never done it, and look forward to learning something new as well as sitting with a group of knitters.
Till next time...let's all knit on good women!
Martha.
