November 29
Greetings!
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving filled with loved ones and blessings. We had one day with some sun this week...and that's about it. I know it's the cloudiest month of year making for washed out pictures and car lights turned on by 3:00...sometimes cozy, but come December we all hope for some blue sky. We've had snow...freezing rain, high winds and more snow. Typical November.
I'd love your feedback on one of the Hybrids tonight...I had fun 'playing' and am curious what you think of the finished product. You'll know the bag I mean.
Well I turn 50 on the 8th and went in for my first eye exam in over 20 years. My glasses (yup) not just readers, should be in tomorrow. I guess it's all part of it...right? Take it all as it comes, with grace...I hope.
I found a stunning antique piece of tapestry...look for it in one of tonight's bags. Also found a fun old book full of Vermont proverbs called 'Talk Less and Say More'. I'll share one weekly.
Finished up my black neck cowl (just in time for a cold weekend) and made it a bit shorter than I had planned. I did a slip stitch crochet around the top, and a pretty scalloped crocheted base. Pictures next week....
Sunday I'll be at Northeast Finer Arts for her holiday show...should be interesting to see if any of my bags go as 99.9% of my business is out of state. I look forward to the afternoon.
This week's proverb:
A person's speech reveals the soul.
Be good now good women...and knit on!
Martha.
