November 15

Greetings! Well November 15 means property taxes and that was my first order of the day. Usually I don't leave the house on Thursdays, but had to make the exception today. As you can see in some of tonight's pictures, we did have a run of lovely sunny days. Today however was raining slush. The mountains will get snow, and the town will get rain...we're in-between so we get the slush! Ok...by morning we'll have our first snow.
We've had a sweet young doe who visits our apple trees eating up the drops...see her here enjoying what's left of the year's perennial bed. She stays for quite awhile, and it's always such a treat to see her.
We've made plans for a snowboarding vacation the first week of January when Woody will turn 18! The guys will ride while I knit...actually there's a wonderful Nordic ski center so I hope to get in some good cross-country skiing. How nice it will be for the four of us to have time together...
My friend Jennifer, owner and operator of Northeast Fiber Arts called and asked if I'd be interested in showing some of my bags at her December 2nd open house. Really, I never have stock on hand, but hope to for the day, and want to be there for the fun (and who wouldn't want to spend the afternoon in their favorite yarn shop?)...she'll have a few other artists on hand, and she'll be showing her gorgeous felted jackets.
A week from today is Thanksgiving so no bags will be listed. However, do look for the listing sometime on Friday or Saturday. Allison will be home with her family and we're taking a go with the flow attitude. Let's hope for some relaxing time (knitting) over the holiday....So, safe travels to all if you're heading out of town...and...
