May 31,
Greetings. What a week! Seems it started with running a bit late last week and hasn't slowed down a bit. Actually, I kind of enjoyed the sporadic listings last week...any thoughts? We had a bit of a family emergency this week (we're all fine) but it's taken me away from sewing more than I would have liked. That said, I love this weeks listing and hope you do too.
The farmer's markets start this weekend both in our village and in Burlington. Always enjoy them...even if nothing is purchased, it's always good to see folks and catch up.
Worked a bit on the sweater, but am pushing to finish a shawl I've had on the needles for quite some time. Splurged on a pair of Lantern Moon needles and LOVE them.
My older son was a part of the annual Vermont Youth Writer's Conference and was actually paid to do what he loves (his slam poetry) at a local college, he had a grand time.
Younger son Woody graduates this Friday so with all of that, plus trying to get the house painted, we're straight out.
All flowers are potted and hanging baskets are blooming like mad and it's just a lovely time here in Vermont.
Blue moon tonight, though it's cloudy. If it clears I'll be out for my favorite...a full moon walk.
My husband had a grand time on his kayak river trip, even if he did lose his glasses!
Happy birthday (tomorrow) to Allison (supreme web gal) who's all of 19.
Oh...the hiking boots belong to my husband. He had many adventures in them including a month long hike on the Long Trail to Canada...1976.
Let's all have a good week and find some time for ourselves.
Knit on good women!
Martha.
