Green Mountain Knitting Bags

March 8

Greetings,

Well it'll only be 15 below tonight, and that's not with the wind chill. Boy it's been bitter. The nice news is the sun has been gorgeous all week and that makes up for a lot.
Had a blast at the yarn sale, getting there right when she opened...even then, I didn't get a parking spot. I saw an old friend I don't see often enough . We met in birthing class, and out kids grew up together. I was touched when she knew all my news, yes, she reads this page. So nice to see her...Hi Diane! She's a talented rug hooker, teaching many classes in the area.
Ok, so after 2 hours of looking and visiting, I decided on this pretty sweater from the Sublime book, and am working with Sublime yarn. A gorgeous Marino wool is a soft pink. DK, and it's a dream to work with. I did take some time to start it and will show the progress as I go. But of course that wasn't on sale. I did get a bag of FAME in a great color, should be fun. I'll put it aside for now...and yes, the bag was half price.
I'm showing my husbands snowshoe tracks and snowshoes. They were a gift from my knitting mentor of years past...that's a whole other News Page.
We're off to Lake Placid this Saturday for just 3 nights, but can't wait to have time together and spend time reading and knitting. I'll fit in some cross-country skiing and button shopping. Then sometimes next week my sister will visit from Maine. So don't count on too many bags a week from tonight, but there will be some.

My husband is cooking dinner tonight...fresh perch from Lake Champlain (ice fishing). Oh...three stunning fabrics came in today's mail and I can hardly wait to work with them for next week! And many thanks to 'a regular' for gifting me some lovely fabrics!
Have a great week.

Till next time,
Martha.
