Greetings & Welcome Spring!

As Spring reaches its midpoint, night and day stand in perfect balance, with light on the increase. Temperatures fluctuate madly...3 below the other night and 49 today.
What does this time of year mean? For me, I try to focus on personal renewal, new beginnings, and Spring housecleaning...! But more importantly, applying that 'cleaning' to my inner self and the throwing away of old ways of negative thought (mental cobwebs). I take more time on my walks, breathing the first warm air we've had in a long time, and taking time to notice the smallest details of change.
Really had fun with colors this week, some nice greens...appropriate to this time of year. My sister's visit was cut short due to the storm, but better she got home safely. The time we did have was wonderful, and maybe next time I'll take a trip to Maine.
Off to get another batch of handles tomorrow, than to my younger son's school as they're in the process of hiring a new head of School and want parent input.
Worked the correct number of rows for the back of the sweater, but found it to be 1.5" too short so have continued on. Glad I measured (knit & learn)!...and I'm also long waisted so may add even more length. Hopefully next week, I'll show an almost completed back.
I threw together a soup the other night for dinner...onions, carrots, garlic, parsnips, sweet sausage, mushrooms, stock and baby spinach. But I wanted to add lentils, which I didn't have. So, rummaging through the cupboards, I found dried refried beans. I get them at the health food store and they're quick & easy...just add boiling water and let sit. I put a half a cup or so in the soup and it was delicious, and gave it a velvety texture. Who would have thought??
Ok...not much else...oh, I've added to the Product Warranty.

Mud season upcoming...

Knit on...
Martha.
