Greetings!
This'll be a quick one as I'm running late. I had to set up a make-shift photo spot on the side porch due to the torrential downpour we're having right now...really high winds too! But...two exciting bits of news. Woody (younger son...17) was given a lathe this past Christmas. Finally we cleared off a spot on the workbench for him to work, and his former English teacher's husband gave him a lesson last night. Cute really, as she too wanted a lesson, only in sewing basics...so it was a house of learning. I mentioned something to Woody that I've always wanted, and he whipped it up this afternoon! What a doll. It's called a nostepinde, and it's used to wind a hank of yarn. By wrapping it around the base, once completed, it can then be pulled from the center. Brilliant! And didn't he do a beautiful job...solid maple to boot.
And..........new bag style! I LOVE it. May I introduce you to...The Madison Sweater Bag. Its shape is contemporary, and it holds a lot. Three of them will be offered tonight. I'd love to hear your feedback.
Harry Potter fans....the countdown continues!!!
That's all for now...till next time...
Read & knit on good women!
