Green Mountain Knitting Bags

December 13

Greetings! Well turning 50 was painless. I had a great day and a wonderful dinner out. The hardest things now is getting used to my new glasses...but I'm getting there. The other I had a nice walk to my friends Annie's house (to show her the glasses) and grabbed my camera as the sun was out! Brief, was it was out. Another storm is raging outside, so we're grateful to be hunkered down and cozy.
I've decided to take the majority of the winter pictures inside as the deck is covered in heavy snow, and shoveling it is more than I want to deal with. Also, unless the lighting is just right (which is tough in the winter) the colors can look washed out. So...you'll see them on the old church pew.
I have to say that all of my bags (all 3, and except 1) have had the tab vintage button closure, but my latest has the magnetic closure and I LOVE it! Don't know why I never chose it in the past, but it's now my favorite.
Working on the Cabled Riding Jacket from the Loop-d-Loop of 2005 and the pattern is a nightmare! But the pattern is so gorgeous that I'm putting up with it.

The feedback was so enthusiastic for the leather cases....look for them next Thursday! Still working steadily on the custom bags...

Hope you're all staying sane in this often crazy time of year...thank goodness for four knitting.

The Vermont Proverb of the week(seeing as I just turned 50):

An old horse knows its way home.

Knit on good women...
Martha.
