April 26
Greetings,
Hope this finds you all well. A run of pretty days and sunshine here...so warm my son talked about jumping in the river...we're not quite there, though he was welcome to.
Parents weekend was fun, and the bag had lots of bids. Someone had filled it with yarn and glow in the dark needles, so it was a great deal! It's a residential school of 100 kids with learning differences...except for my older son, the rest of us in this household are dyslexic....gladly so. But Woody is a day student, and we're very lucky to have such a great school filled with exceptional teachers so close by. Fun to see all the out of town parents and their 'take' on being in what they consider 'the boonies'.
Sweater is coming along nicely, though between the busy weekend and helping friends and neighbors this week.....there was just time for bags. I have great fabric laid out for a sock bag but didn't get to it...next week.
I love vintage perfume bottles & powder tins...and was thrilled to add an April Showers bottle to my tins...love it.
I've joined a group of women, led my a dear friend, where we send in our personal intentions once a week, and we (privately) at some point over the weekend sit quietly and focus on all intentions. It's a great thing that I'm glad to be a part of...ahh the cyber world.
The maple syrup season was quite good...yield was average, but the grade is mostly B, or amber, a bit darker...my favorite.
So great to have the Canada Geese back, and we are thrilled to have a pair of Common Merganser 'divers' at the pond...they're lovely.
Ok...I'm off.
Be good!
Martha.
