April 19
Greetings,
After another nasty storm, Spring has finally arrived, or so we think. But we're embracing the warm sun today as temperatures reached the mid-high 50's. Same for tomorrow, only warmer...hopefully most of our snow will be gone by Monday. My big news is a new car!!! I needed to get rid my Honda (though it served me well) and I now have a new Subaru Impreza...the smallest that they make. Living up here one of us has to have all wheel drive and I'm thrilled, though it took me ALL of Tuesday, but at least now it's done. Busy parent's weekend at my younger son's school tomorrow into Saturday, but walking around outside will be a joy as I was in all of today sewing . Here's a picture of the bag I'm donating to the silent auction tomorrow night. It's a combo something... I love it...and the crushed velveteen is such a pretty shade. Same colored stripe lining.
Things are coming to life at the pond and the Canada Geese have returned. Nice. My husband waved his hat to them to welcome their return.
I finished the back of the sweater and have started both fronts, working them at the same time on circulars with separate balls of yarn. Always so glad when I do that.
Great picture of my two sons that my husband took & printed out in black & white from the computer. It's when they were at Lake Placid, and is one of my favorites. Love those boys of mine.
Lots to type...gotta run. At least I've got Janis singing Cry Baby.....
Knit on good women!
Martha.
