Humid! I’ll say!

Greetings!

So for people who don’t care for humid weather (me) this hasn’t been the most enjoyable summer! My heaven’s it’ll be a relief when this passes. Sun and clouds today with a bit of rain…

I think all the local farmer’s market’s are a great thing but is it me or has produce become crazy expensive?? Gone are the days of cucumbers ’4 for a dollar’ but while running errands today I saw a table and $ can outside and stopped. Finally, beautiful ripe garden tomatoes for a dollar a piece! Compared to most everywhere else, that’s a deal! One of my favorite ways to eat local tomatoes is in a classic Italian tomato salad which consists of:
quartered tomatoes
salt & pepper
olive oil
cold water
fresh garlic
oregano
…. and of course a good bread to soak up the juices….

Christopher and I had fun last week at our favorite shops… and had great luck in what we were looking for! I saw two beautiful needlepoint chairs that were lovely, and the needle work had no fading and very little wear… tempting, but I settled for pictures.

Wooodrow and Maddie are on their way home!!! They decided to take a train and are now in Colorado, they arrive home on Sunday. My goodness I miss him and can’t wait to see him!

I’m contemplating taking a week off as the last time I did, was a year ago this past February. I’m due   and I’ll use the time to work on my big project with the hopes of possibly completing it in time for the September 15th wedding! I’ll announce it here… and I’m going to hold off taking any custom orders until after that date, thanks all. I have  enough custom work to keep me busy until then!
Look for yet again some new fabrics this week… and some bags I’ve loved making.
Take good care all…. remember to take good, deep cleansing breaths, they do work wonders. Breath on and knit on good women!

Warmly,
Martha.

‘Love is the capacity to take care, to protect, to nourish. If you are not capable of generating that kind of energy toward yourself- if you are not capable of taking care of yourself, of nourishing yourself, of protecting yourself- it is very difficult to take care of another person. In the Buddhist teaching, it’s clear that to love oneself is the foundation of the love of other people……’

I would love to see the current pictures you have posted in your news feed but they do not open. Has anyone else reported the same issue??
