Nice to be back and Greetings!
Hope you all had a great holiday. The forecasted rain held off so all parades were a go.
And we had a spectacular view of Burlington’s fireworks!
Did any of you get a storm??? I was out walking in Burlington when the skies opened… when waiting for it to end proved futile, I took off my shoes, held up my dress and ran for it. Some stores had water damage and all from rain that lasted 45 minutes…. wow.
Woody and Maddy are staying in Colorado for a week as his ankle is feeling the strain of the trip. It was rest , or end it…. and I know how much the two of them want to forge ahead so hopefully it’ll heal up, enough for them to continue with the last 1,500 miles.
Just received a text from Taylor who found a wedding suit! He and Hannah went to Boston to shop but all the ‘typical’ men’s stores left him cold…. and feeling like he was not at all himself in the classic suit. So… a funky shop was found (yes, I love it) and he picked the suit that he felt ‘right’ in. Good going…..
It seems raspberries grow right outside our apartment so I’ve had such a nice time picking these past few mornings…. we try to avoid gluten and starch so enjoyed some berries with simple fresh whipped cream. Stafford is our favorite brand of anything dairy and their whipping cream is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Seems the powdered sugar didn’t make the move, and we were out of vanilla, so I just added a bit of raw sugar, whipped it, and as you can see it didn’t even make it out of the bowl!
The holiday week left me with a bit of play time in my studio(s) … one of my favorite things…. and I ‘saw’ a bag in my head that I really wanted to work on.
I love it! This new style is ‘Ruby’. A twist on a bucket shape with adorable front and back pleats, a wide base and a band around the top (that’s thicker) that makes it so the bag stands easily on its own. Three deep interior pockets and pretty detail. Leather shoulder straps…. response has been awesome, thanks all!

Aren’t all these flowers a joy to behold?! Just my walk home from yoga….. and the lake shot was taken late in the day while reading … and dipping my toes.
