July 3

Greetings! Rainy here today, but it looks like it will clear for the Burlington fireworks tonight! My sister is here visiting my mom, so we took a drive into town last night to see the boy's apartments. I had mentioned to my husband that we were going, but I wanted to get back early to work (as I do every Wednesday evening). But, in his usual wisdom, he told me to relax and enjoy my time. I did. So, not as many bags tonight as I spent some time with Wendy, the boys, Paul...and did my usual everything has to look just right in the house cleaning before we leave Saturday early for Maine. I'll be gone next week, so look for GMKB to be back on track July 17th. Bags purchased tonight and paid for via paypal, will be sent out Saturday morning from some little town somewhere in Vermont while driving to Maine! The rest will be sent out upon my return.
Tomorrow is our town parade and we love it!! Oh it's quite the 'to do', then it's the noon time used book sale at the Town Hall...another mustn't be missed. Paul will mow in the afternoon, I'll pack and finish 3 custom bags that have to get out. Then back to town for the fireworks!!!
I had to show off our old canoe we've had since before we were married (23 years) as my husband takes great pride in shining it up every year. Usually we do it in Maine but he got a jump on it this year. We didn't think the boys would be joining us, but they're both going to try and make it...at least for a day or two. Nice to know they value it all as much as we do.
I've decided to call the new bag style 'Companion Clutches'. Thanks to all who emailed...glad you like them and want to see more, they now have their own section. I had a blast knitting this scarf for Taylor...honestly I couldn't stop! Anyone wanting information about can email me...

Ok. so...until the 17th...knit on good women! Dock knitting here I come!!!

Martha.
