Just a quick check in to be sure everyone survived the heat! Yikes.. that was a lot of heavy air and humidity. Cooler today though. We had a good weekend… met a few fellow Sudbury folks on Saturday morning and cleared a walking trail for all to use. Then it was a quick shower and off to a retirement party and the rest of the weekend was spent gardening, knitting and making jam. I really want to share this recipe for fruit jam with you.. I love to make jam but don’t want too much sugar. This is perfect, easy and so so yummy!

4 C fruit
1/4 C maple syrup
1/4 C chia seeds
2 tsp lemon juice (optional) I opted out …
That’s it. I made cherry and strawberry… left the chia seeds more whole in the cherry. and decided to grind them up for the strawberry. Start cooking the prepared berries, add the syrup and chia. Simmer for 10 or so minutes.. I boiled my jars and filled them hot! They sealed right up… and it thickens as it cools. It sure is a nice jam.
One of the wrist warmers is done and I’m working on the second. The felted bag has been started too…..

Feels like rain. Happy Monday all!
I read your blog and saw the February Sweater which I thought clever and so colorful. Then I found the pattern on Ravelry, and looked at all 69 pages of finished sweaters posted, incl yours, in their different color combinations. So many people liked this pattern. What did you think? I though the style and design was so flattering on those who were slim….less so on those who were not. I also loved the wrist warmers so I am going to make those right away. Calm and peace seem to go hand and glove with knitting.
I knit two of that pattern and still wear them regularly in the winter. Now I would be more apt to knit a pullover or a full button down cardigan. Will you make it? Love the wrist warmers too!
