Between just being plain old busy and internet issues, it’s been a bit now since I’ve posted. Life is good, the leaves are full and the gardens are coming along. We have a variety of vegetables and flowers and even though it’s been cool, save a few things that didn’t come up, all are doing well.
Saturday was World Wide Knit in Public Day and I met up with Betsy in Shelburne at Must Love Yarn. We sat outside, ate, knit and chatted and as always, it was a great time. So many of us now either have or are expecting grandchildren so little knits were discussed! Speaking of… Foster is 20 months now and is quite the whip. Dear and sweet, I soak up my time with him every time…..
And yes, recently transplated Iris can bloom! Thank you Lynn for all xo
As far as knitting… Jeffery’s sweater is growing in length…
I cast on with yarn for my stash for this quick (we’ll see) top down simple pullover. Love a boat neck and this one is generous..
One of my great customers is from Germany and travels often to Norway and picks up yarn for me there upon request! Here’s some babyull is a Maine Northstar mitten. The gauge is way different so I’m all over the place with this pattern, changing things left and right as needed…..
…. and I unearthed another started mitten project called Rhombtwist, knit with a gorgeous kettle dyed blue.
In May we took a class on identifying edible and medicinal herbs, it was really fun and informative and last night Jeff walked in the kitchen with a handful of wild lettuce for our salad… perfect!
What a gorgeous time of year. We’ve gone foraging for wild mushrooms, been over to the Adirondacks on the motorcycle and in general are simply enjoying this sweet time of year, and life itself. The issue I had with my hand has cleared up though I’m careful not to overwork it. If I do, it’s a good time to work on smaller items to avoid the hand stitching the wooden handles require. And I really love making the cases and pattern sleeves…. that said, it’s close to noon so off I go to work. Thanks for checking in and I’ll return….. in the meantime, knit on good women!
