The weather has left us with lots of ice, but there’s never anything quite like a walk in the woods…. just want to be a little more careful where you’re stepping. Never a bad thing…. 😉

The sweater sleeves continue and I’ve picked up a mitten project I started last month. The bulky with the long lime cuff and after thought thumb. I’ve just passed the thumb and am close the the top decrease. With all the many mittens I’ve knit, this is the first time I’ve done an after thought thumb … I’ve never done an after thought heel either! So really fun in all my years of knitting to finally have at it. The fit is good and I’m already anxious to block….! Knit group is tomorrow with a home practice for yoga in the morning. Always love my time with such fabulous women, and great knitters (and crocheters) to boot xoxo

Knit on good women, take good care and take a deep breath too  😉

Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth. ~Hugh Macmillan, “Rejuvenescence,” The Ministry of Nature, 1871
